BUTTERFLY CHILDRENS HOME

This is an 8KvA grid-connected back-up system which means the loads are supplied by the grid until there is loadshedding period when it then supplies the loads from the battery.

The system consists of a 48V/8KvA Victron Energy Multiplus-ii inverter/charger, a 250V/100A MPPT, a 48V 15/12 Freedom Won lithium battery and 12 X 545Wp Jinko solar panels.

The inverter unit converts DC voltage to AC voltage which is used by standard 230V appliances as well as also converting AC voltage from the grid into DC voltage to charge the battery at night or when there is not enough solar.

The system has a solar array which consists of 12 x Jinko 545Wp solar panels connected in 2 strings of 6 which produce an average of 27KWh of energy per day. The panels are connected to a 250V/100A Victron Energy Blue Solar MPPT solar charger via a DC combiner box which charges the battery and helps the battery to supply the load during the day when grid is not available.

At night if there is no grid the loads are powered by the 48V 15/12 Freedom Won lithium-ion battery.

The system also has a Cerbo GX remote monitoring unit installed which when connected to an internet connection allows the system to be monitored and controlled remotely by installers and the client via the Victron Energy VRM application.

The Victron Energy equipment has a manufactory warranty of 5 years, the Freedom Won battery has a manufactory warranty of 10 years and the Jinko solar panels have a manufactory warranty of 12 years.
