This is a 15KvA grid-connected/grid-tied back-up system. The system consists of a 48V/15KvA Victron Energy Quattro inverter/charger, a 48V 40/32 Freedom Won lithium battery, a 250V/100A MPPT, a Fronius PV inverter and 24 panels.
The inverter unit converts DC voltage to AC voltage which is used by standard 230V appliances as well as also converting AC voltage from the grid into DC to charge the battery.
The system also has a 8KvA Fronius PV inverter installed which uses solar to provide for the loads directly during the day with any excess solar power going towards helping to charge the battery.
The system has a solar array which consists of 24 x Jinko 545Wp solar panels which produce an average of 55KWh of energy per day. 10 of the panels, arranged into 2 strings of 5, are connected to a 250V/100A Victron Energy Blue Solar MPPT solar chargers via a DC combiner box which charge the battery and the remaining 14 are connected to the Fronius inverter which, when grid is not available, supplies the loads completely during the day with any excess going to helping charge the battery.
At night, if there is no grid, the loads are powered by a 48V 40/32 Freedom Won lithium-ion battery.
The system also has a Cerbo GX remote monitoring unit installed which when connected to an internet connection allows the system to be monitored and controlled remotely by installers and/or client via the Victron Energy VRM application.
There is a generator connected to the inverter as a last resort to power the loads on days when there is not enough solar to supply the loads and charge the battery.
The Victron Energy equipment has a manufactory warranty of 5 years, the Freedom Won battery has a manufactory warranty of 10 years and the Jinko solar panels have a manufactory warranty of 12 years.
